Watch Development of a Novel Blue Laser Direct Writing Lithography Technology Video Development of a Novel Blue Laser Direct Writing Lithography Technology
Jan 12, 2012
Features: Current approaches for nano-lithography -- such as Laser beam lithography, Near field lithography, or E-beam lithography -- are all expensive and require large areas. Now these can be replaced by Visible Light Laser Direct Writing Technology. ITRI has developed the new technology of Nano-scale Visible Light Laser Direct Writing and a patented thermal lithography material. It simplifies the complex conventional nano scale fabrication down to only 5 processes. Visible Light Laser Direct Writing Technology adopts a novel optical head-like opto-mechanical system using semiconductor laser diode as the light source. This is the space distribution of laser Gaussian beam; the red part of the laser Gaussian beam has the highest power density, but this is only a very small part, occupying less than one third to one fourth of the side lobs of the entire Gaussian beam. Along with the patented thermal lithography material developed by ITRI, a specific inorganic material with sub-diffraction-limit resolution that can effectively reduce the writing laser spot size and overcome the optical diffraction limit was developed. This material converts the light energy emitted by blue laser diode into heat as a result of photothermal effect. The structure and chemistry behavior of the exposed area will be changed by photothermal effect. Finally, the nano-structured pattern with the scale of 150 nanometers or less can be achieved. Description: This technology has the following ...

Apr 01, 2012
movie.diginfo.tv DigInfo News At NanoTech 2008, Laser Zentrum Hannover presented a range of micro and submicro structures, created by placing a solid material such as a metal, in a liquid and using short-pulsed lasers to break up the material into nanoparticles. Interview "I'm from the laser center in Hannover, which is one of the biggest laser research institutes in the world, and we are focusing on nanotechnology using lasers. We use lasers to ablate materials in a liquid, this sounds strange but its quite easy, so the laser beam transmits the liquid and in the liquid there is a material which we make nanoparticles from. The liquid can be also a monomer. A monomer is a liquid out of which plastics are made. One example is this Nano Cocktail, we call it "Nano On The Beach". We call it a Nano Cocktail because this contains a cocktail of nano functions without changing the plastic, so you can use a standard plastic like what mobile phones or toys are made from with a standard procedure and put nanoparticles into this plastic by laser ablation. Then you can mould the plastic, then you have this part, its injection moulded, three dimensional and you can make it with standard technology. To summarize, we have patented a very simple process, in order to bring nano into end products without maing complicated changes to the process chain, we are just changing the raw material by using lasers." Embedding nanoparticles into polymer based materials can enhance a range of properties ...

Watch 3 nano: Quantum Dot Nanocrystals Video 3 nano: Quantum Dot Nanocrystals
Mar 20, 2012
Nanocrystals are small collections of several hundred to hundred thousand atoms arranged in a crystal matrix. Quantum dots are nanocrystals made of semiconductors, and the several hundred atoms act like one giant molecule with regards to their electrons with variations in energy levels due to the size of the dot. The smaller the dot, the higher photon energy released during fluorescence. This video was compiled from fluorescing colloidal quantum dots of different sizes excited by an argon laser. The dots are invisible (with one exception in a microscope at 2:14) but they produce the bright colors in the beam. The bits of bright blue flashes are dust particles in the solutions. Music is from Ms. John Soda, the song is "Technicolor" from the album No P. or D: www.amazon.com

welcometomygalaxy.com Remember while you watch, I'm driving and have no idea what the camera sees. I know it has something to do with the sun. I have pics of the laser beam you'll see as nanowaves (STED) aimed at the back of my ear posted on my facebook account (welcometomygalaxy.com). At the beginning you only see a few 'arcs' of bright energy. Later you see one of the two lasers aimed at the sun. In the middle, before and after my hand which is in horrifying pain, you see the two forming a 'V' aimed at the sun. Toward the end you'll get a better view. There's also a lot of pixelation throughout and the red light isn't a reflection or the camera. It's part of the 'imaging' process.

welcometomygalaxy.com Another dull video in terms of entertainment value. However, this video shows the laser beam in action at the back of my head. I've had clumps of hair fall out and huge sores similar to my profile picture develop over different periods at the bare scalp at the top of my head. Throughout the video there's also infrared blotches and blue scanner light (not sure what else to call it -- and I do name it 'blue scanner light' because of my experiences these past 3 years and my research--blue gammawaves to blue nanowaves. A quote "you're going to be upside down". Scalar waves are scalable. I have some soundtracks that show these gammawaves matching at various points. Now I'm 'backward'. Nanowave backward? sounds are horrible and you can feel the 'creaking' in your cartiledge (a sign a few years prior to them allowing me to hear them). One sign prior to this: Massive hair loss. The roots of your hair become very sensitive and sometimes it hurts to brush. Feels like your ripping off a scab before the wound has healed. Visit forum on my website for more 'signs' of mind control. Try to update as I find more commonalities between what I'm living through and the past 15 years when I remember my left foot buzzing. similar to what they call 'restless leg syndrome'.

Watch Photothermal Effect From Local Surface Plasmon Resonance Video Photothermal Effect From Local Surface Plasmon Resonance
Mar 19, 2012
Features: When gold or silver nanoparticles absorb laser radiation of a specific wavelength, it triggers electrons in the metal nanoparticles to oscillate with the frequency of the electromagnetic field to generate heat. This creates a phenomenon known as Surface Plasmon Resonance. This photothermal conversion allows for very rapid, localized heating with high selectivity, and is suitable for processing on a polymer substrate. ITRI has developed the following two processing technologies : 1. Maskless Fine Conductive Line. 2. Maskless Polymer Nanostructure. Description: ITRI's technology has several advantages. First, the energy consumption is low -- only 10% that of traditional technologies. The photothermal conversion facilitates localized heating and melting, so this process is suitable to make fine conductive lines on polymer substrate. Second, it avoids highly polluting processes, making this technology both eco-friendly and cost-effective. ITRI can make silver lines with width less than 10μm to substitute for electroless copper as the seed layer for copper electroplating. When a nano-composite of metal nanoparticles and polymers absorbs laser radiation, the exposed nanoparticles will generate heat to increase the temperature of the surrounding polymers. When the polymer's decomposition temperature is exceeded, its chemical bonds are cloven, and the polymers break down into small molecules and evaporate. In this way, nanostructure is established. Our technology ...

Watch Scientists Create World's Lightest Material Video Scientists Create World's Lightest Material
Apr 21, 2012
BY ADNAN S. KHAN & NATHAN GIANNINI ANCHOR LAUREN ZIMA Scientist from UC Irvine, CalTech and Hughes Research Laboratories have created the world's lightest material. How light? The material, named 'Ultralight Metallic Microlattice' is 100 times lighter than Styrofoam, which should be expected from a material that is 99.99 percent air. KGTV has more details. "The Ultra-light Metallic Microlattice is so light, a block of it can balance on top of a dandelion. It's made from nickel, it's 1000 times thinner than a human hair, and strong! You can't believe how strong." So, how strong is something that can be supported by a dandelion? The BBC reports: "To study the strength of the metallic micro-lattices the team compressed them until they were half as thick. After removing the load the substance recovered 98% of its original height and resumed its original shape. ... 'Materials actually get stronger as the dimensions are reduced to the nanoscale,' said team member Lorenzo Valdevit." MSNBC notes the strength of the material does not come from the nickel used to create it, but instead from its shape. The outlet spoke with a manager at the HRL Laboratories, who says to think of microlattice as the Eiffel Tower. "Modern buildings, exemplified by the Eiffel Tower or the Golden Gate Bridge, are incredibly light and weight-efficient by virtue of their architecture ... We are revolutionizing lightweight materials by bringing this concept to the nano and micro scales." But how do you ...
